Cynthia M. Garnsey, 46, of 383 Flower Ave. E., was charged by Watertown police about 4 p.m. Sunday with falsely reporting an incident and falsifying business records.

It is alleged that on June 27 she falsely reported that her ex-boyfriend, Michael D. Yarbrough, had stolen a television from her in an attempt to get him into trouble.

She is due to answer the charges in City Court.
