OGDENSBURG— A Heuvelton man was arrested by state police at 8:05 p.m. Sunday for allegedly assaulting a 9-year-old.

Kevin S. McAllister, 44, of 451 Horseshoe Road, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Troopers declined to comment further, saying only that the victim, whose relationship to Mr. McAllister was not released, was allegedly assaulted. The incident was first reported to police at 6:33 a.m. Sunday.
