Calcium, New York- Ronald James DeLair Sr., 76, died June 29th, at Samaritan Medical Center.
He was born December 1, 1935, in West Carthage, NY, the son of James and Mary North DeLair. He attended Watertown Schools and served in the US Air Force from 1953 – 1959. He married Charlotte Booth, October 26, 1966, in Baltimore, MD.
Ron worked at Black Clawson for several years and then became a local truck driver for Whites Lumber, Watertown, where he retired in 1997. He enjoyed watching sports and playing Lotto.
Mr. DeLair is survived by; a daughter, and her husband, Trudy and Joe Black, Watertown; two sons and their wives, Ronald Jr. and Dorothy DeLair, Calcium and Todd and Dawn DeLair, Watertown; a sister, Betty Giles, Fulton; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Charlotte on July 8, 2011; two brothers, Lloyd and Harry DeLair; four sisters, Patricia Youngs, Rose Mary Benney, Rosalie Barcomb and Jackueline Reagan.
Memorial donations may be made to the, American Cancer Society.
Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, her body will be cremated. Arrangements are with the Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.
