Hounsfield-Shirley C, Resseguie, age 83 of County Rte 66 Watertown, passed away Sunday July1st at a cottage at Duck Harbor, Chaumont.

Shirley was born Febraury 3, 1929 in Watertown the daughter of Kenneth and Viola Keyes Smith. She graduated from Watertown High School and married Howard J. Resseguie on November 27, 1948 at the Church of the Redeemer in Watertown.

The couple lived in the Town of Hounsfield, Howard passed away July 13, 2009.

Shirley was Head Cashier at P & C. Supermarkets in Watertown until retiring in 1987. She was a member of Harold Townsend Post American Legion Auxiliary of Sackets Harbor.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry and Joel Derouin of Sackets Harbor and her son Charley and Amy Resseguie of Dexter. She has four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren , a sister Sally Countryman of Chaumont and a brother Donald Smith of Glen Park and nieces and nephews also surviving.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter April Resseguie in 1993 and brothers Robert and Daniel Smith.

Funeral services will be Friday 10:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8 P.M. Donations may be made to Hay Memorial Library , Sackets Harbor or Jefferson County Assoc. of the Blind.
