Marilyn A. Augliano, 80, Clayton, passed away Saturday morning, June 30, 2012, at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown.
A memorial service will be held at River Community Church on Monday, July 9 at 11AM with burial in St. Marys Cemetery, Clayton, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.
Mrs. Augliano was born in Watertown on August 24, 1931, daughter of Everett and Natalie Gibson Robbins. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1940 and also from Watertown School of Commerce.
On April 9, 1950 she married Benjamin P. Augliano in Sackets Harbor and the couple moved to Clayton. The marriage was blessed at Holy Family Church by Msgr. Robert J. McCarthy. Mr. Augliano died on October 19, 2008.
She had worked for the Flower Memorial Library, Watertown, the Thousand Islands Museum, and she was a waitress and bartender at McCormicks, both in Clayton. Marilyn was a member of St. Marys Church and the American Legion Post 821 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a founding member of the Antique Boat Museum.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Thomas J. and Nancy H. and Terry M. and Wendy Augliano, all of Clayton, five grandchildren, Erica and Jeremy Cohen, Michael Augliano, Anthony and Amber Augliano, Jonathan Augliano, and Benjamin Augliano, four great grandchildren, Sophia and Daniel Cohen and Ariana and Adilyn Augliano, her sister-in-law, Rosalyn Robbins, Cape Vincent, one niece, one nephew, and several cousins. Besides her husband, Benjamin, she was predeceased by her brother, Jack Robbins.
