BLACK RIVER — Acting on a recommendation by the Public Employee Safety and Health Bureau audit, village officials adopted a workplace violence policy Monday.

The policy requires village employees to report incidents of abuse to the board personnel liaison and the mayor within 24 hours orally and in writing within 48 hours.

The board agreed to remove Social Security numbers from employment applications.
