CANTON — Sarah L. Butler, 27, of 774 Fulton Road, Lisbon, was arrested Saturday and charged with promoting prison contraband.

Ms. Butler brought a small amount of tobacco into the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility and attempted to give it to an inmate, according to St. Lawrence County deputies.

She was released on an appearance ticket.
