DWI - POTSDAM - St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies charged Evan L. Hoyt, 18, of 148 County Route 48, Norwood, with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 4:24 a.m. Tuesday on County Route 48 in the town of Potsdam.He was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.09 percent, 0.01 percent above the 0.08 threshold that constitutes a DWI charge. He was released on appearance ticket for Potsdam Town Court.
