OGDENSBURG— An Ogdensburg teen who allegedly falsely claimed he was the driver in a car accident last month was arrested at 11:59 a.m. Sunday by state police.

Andrew J. Spearance, 17, of 8 Oak St., was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

Mr. Spearance allegedly claimed he was driving the car involved in a June 24 accident on Bishop Road in Macomb. The car’s driver, Jordin J. Hazelton, 18, of 515 Ritchie Road, DeKalb Junction, has since been charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.
