Raymond S. Elliott, 25, of 8906 Route 178, Henderson, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 10:30 a.m. Monday with second-degree criminal contempt.

Mr. Elliott is accused of violating an order of protection issued by Jefferson Family Court that ordered him to stay away from Lauren M. Houser, 24, of 20750 Reasoner Road, Brownville, and her children. Ms. Houser was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for allowing Mr. Elliott to have contact with her children during the incident, deputies said.

Ms. Houser and the children were occupants in a car driven by Mr. Elliott on Coffeen Street, deputies said.

Both were arraigned in City Court.
