Privateers to reveal new head coach Thursday

The Thousand Islands Privateers are scheduled to announce their new head coach during a “meet-and-greet” session at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Savory Downtown restaurant in the Best Western hotel.

The Privateers said in a release that they will introduce the head coach, several returning players and lay out plans for corporate partnership, as well as provide details about community involvement for the team.

The Privateers, after two years based in Alexandria Bay, have moved to Watertown and will play home games at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds Arena.

City officials and community leaders are expected to attend. The public is welcome.
