CANTON— A Potsdam woman who allegedly falsely claimed she had been raped was arrested at 6:51 p.m. Monday by Canton-based state police.

Nicole M. Duval, 31, of 504 West Parishville Road, was charged with falsely reporting an incident, a class-A misdemeanor.

Ms. Duval reported that she had been sexually assaulted on June 21 at 10:10 a.m.

She was issued an appearance ticket for a later date.
