POTSDAM The 15th edition of the Hobble/Gobble Prediction Run-Walk, based at the West Potsdam FD Bingo Hall, will be staged on Saturday, Nov. 17 (11:15 a.m. start) and will feature an expected field of 675.
And major changes as the organizers deal with safety issues for the North Countrys largest road race. This year no pets, strollers or bicycles will be allowed and there will be no race day registragtion.
One thing will remain the same...the Potsdam Holiday Fund will receive a donation in the range of $15,000. In the first week or registration 56 entries were made. The registration fees are $25 person if received by Oct.13 and $30 for registrations between Oct. 14 and Nov. 14.
All mail-in registratios must be postmarked no later than Nov. 9 and on-line registration will close at 10 a.m. on Nov. 14.
The event will once again offer two courses: the short course is four miles or less and the long course is seven miles or less.The top eight predictors on the long course and the four top preidctors on the short course will receive a turkey.
The grand prize in random drawings is a $300 Stewarts Shoppe Gas Card and over $1500 in prizes will be drawn for overall. All entrants receive a free short slee sublimated Tech Shirt, a Hobble/Gobble Finiser Medal and postrace refreshments.Entry forms and on-line registration is done at: northernrunner.or/eventsonline.ca.
