CANTON — Canton Free Library has received a grant of $5,500 from the Grasseroots Fund to improve the Paige Room, the library’s community room.

A room divider will allow two groups to use the room at the same time or create a cozier setting. The money also will go toward a podium, a love seat, replacement windows in the Paige Room and its adjoining kitchen and an exhaust fan.

Grasseroots is a foundation supporting nonprofit organizations in St. Lawrence County. The fund is administered by the Northern New York Community Foundation.
