Shara B. Bixby, 34, of 650 Bronson St., was charged by city police Sunday night with petit larceny following an alleged shoplifting incident at Great American Food Store, 672 State St.

Police said she is accused of attempting to leave the store without paying for merchandise priced at a total of $77.24 which was concealed in her purse.
