WINTHROP - St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies charged John K. Halvorsen, 48, of 5 Crane Road, Winthrop, with petit larceny after receiving a stolen property report Thursday in the town of Stockholm.

Halvorsen allegedly entered his rental property and stole several items belonging to his tenants.

He was arraigned in Potsdam Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence Couty Correctional Facility with bail set at $1,000.
