A telephone town hall meeting will be held at 6:35 p.m. Monday to discuss bath salt-type substances and their negative impacts.
The call will allow participants to ask questions of Anita K. Seefried-Brown, program director of the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council. To facilitate the call, state Sen. Patricia A. Ritchies office will place calls to homes across Jefferson, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties. Questions can be submitted beforehand at www.bit.ly/O25d0K.
Bath salts, products classified as synthetic cathinones and synthetic amphetamines, have been compared to cocaine and methamphetamine.
