OGDENSBURG Three people were injured and one man was charged with driving while intoxicated in a two-car crash at 11:10 p.m. Friday.
MaryJo Montana, 48, of 815 Lake St., was driving on Route 6 and attempting to make a left turn onto Simms Camp Road when the rear of her car was struck by a vehicle driven by Lloyd V. Lennox, 25, 53 Tallman Road, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department. Both cars went off the road.
Ms. Montana was taken by helicopter to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, with head and neck injuries. Her condition was unknown Saturday.
Darin A. King, 51, of 40 Simms Camp Road, a passenger in Ms. Montanas car, and Mr. Lennox both complained of neck injuries and were taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for treatment.
Mr. Lennox was later arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and following too close. His blood alcohol content was not available.
