OGDENSBURG Two Massena residents found with hypodermic needles were arrested by state police at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday.
Terry D. Power, 30, and Amanda J. Gilbo, 27, whose addresses werent released, both were charged with unlawful possession of a hypodermic instrument, a class-A misdemeanor. In addition, Ms. Gilbo was charged with having a controlled substance not in its original container.
A routine traffic stop halted the pair on Jefferson Avenue, where police discovered hypodermic needles in their vehicle, troopers said.
Responsibility for Mr. Power was transferred to the Ogdensburg Police Department after a bench warrant charging him with failure to appear in court was discovered.
Mr. Power was released under probation supervision. Ms. Gilbos status was unknown, police said.
