CROGHAN – Ralph P. Turck, 73, of State Route 812, died Tuesday morning, July 24, 2012 at the Lewis County General Hospital.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, with Rev. Nathan Zehr, officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Croghan Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 405, Croghan, NY 13327.
He is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Elaine; a daughter, Nicole; his granddaughter, Abigail; Nicoles fiancÚ, Bill Schuler, and his children, Nathan, Tyler, Keira and Logan; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Richard Turck of Lowville; Mary Ann and Gerald Ritz of Croghan; Rose Marie Bruce of Croghan; James and Tammy Turck of Carthage; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Turck is predeceased by a sister, Therese, who died in infancy; five brothers, Edward, Bernard, Robert, Donald and Arthur Turck.
Mr. Turck was born on August 19, 1938 in the Town of New Bremen, a son of the late Chester and Pearl Lomber Turck. He attended local schools, and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1960. On February 14, 1969, he married Elaine L. Yousey at St. Stephens Catholic Church, with Rev. Anthony Moore officiating. Mr. Turck was employed as a welder for the former Carthage Machine Company, retiring in February 1998 due to health reasons.
Mr. Turck was an avid NASCAR and New York Yankees fan.
