CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - MASSENA - Village police charged Joshua P. White, 30, of 118 Bishop Ave., Massena, with fourth-degree criminal mischief Sunday afternoon. Police said they received a call reporting the domestic dispute at 12:32 p.m. Sunday. The couple were reportedly arguing over money and when Crystal St. John attempted to leave the residence, White responded by letting the air out of her vehicles tires. White was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bail. The court also signed a temporary order of protection directing White to stay away from Ms. St. John.
Ms. St. John said she was at the town beach shortly afternoon noon Sunday when she received a phone call from White demanding she return home with chew for him within 15 minutes of he would smashing her television and other items. She said she left the beach, bought White some chew and drive home.
I gave him the chew, and he told me to give him money. I told him I wasnt giving him any money, she noted in the statement she signed for police.
White then reportedly jumped on her vehicle, denting the hood. While he was on the hood, he reached down with a box cutter and let the air our of my front driver side tire, she said in the statement she signed for police.
