The Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the Jefferson Leadership Institute. The application deadline is Aug. 22.

The institute, a leadership development program, immerses participants in community issues through 13 full-day sessions.

The program began in 1991 and has had more than 400 graduates.

The kickoff retreat, which includes a half-day group session and dinner, will be Sept. 28 and 29 at the Riveredge Resort in Alexandria Bay.
