CHASE MILLS — A Chase Mills man was charged by state police at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in connection with an incident reported July 20.

Joseph R. Trathen, 51, of 513 Ruddy Road, was charged with two counts of second-degree menacing with a weapon, a misdemeanor.

Mr. Trathen, a landlord, is accused of threatening to shoot two tenants during a dispute. The victims believed that he had a rifle or a shotgun, troopers said, and the weapon turned out to be a pellet gun.
