A former Fort Drum man was extradited from Tennessee on Friday to face charges of second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child in Jefferson County Court.
Kelan D. Fisher, 19, was arrested in Memphis to face allegations that he got a 13-year-old girl pregnant last August, according to state police.
He was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, with bail set by LeRay Town Justice George E. Mead III at $10,000.
In an unrelated investigation, state police charged Matthew S. Grove, 18, Fort Drum, with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child. He is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl on July 24 in the town of LeRay, according to state police. He was being held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building Monday, with bail set at $500 by Justice Mead.
