Kenneth W. Denesha, age 70, passed away on July 15, 2012 in Ocala, Fl. A memorial service was held in Silver Springs, Fl and a celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 1:00 at the Kendrew Grange off of Route 812.
He was born November 18, 1941 in the Town of Fowler, NY to Lynn Denesha and Beulah (Hayden) Denesha. He graduated from Gouverneur Junior and Senior High School, and attended Ithaca school of Artificial Insemination.
Kenneth was married to Amy Simmons on June 22, 1996. Marriages to Mary (Sibley) Hentz and Cynthia (Streeter) Denesha ended in divorce.
Kenneth worked for St Joe Lead Minerals as a Jumbo drill Operator until its union was ended and retired as a laborer for the Laborers Local Union 322 in Northern NY. He was an outstanding wrestler and football player in his high school years, showed Holstein cattle both for 4-H and FFA, he enjoyed riding horses, riding his motorcycle, and he was an avid hunter. In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling, reading, playing poker and participating in dart tournaments. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a life member of the Elks Club in Gouverneur, NY, and a member of the Eagles Club in Silver Springs, FL. He was a past member of the Gouverneur Rescue Squad, where he volunteered for many years.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Amy of Silver Springs, Fl. Children Cynthia & Gene Whipple, Chadwicks, NY, Kevin & Jenine Denesha, Auburn, WA, David & Rosemary Denesha, Renton, WA. Step children Cory, Troy, & Jeremy Garrison of Gouverneur, NY and Trish(Billings) Fuller of Silver Springs, Fl. Grandchildren, Kelly Whipple, Catlin Denesha, and Christopher Denesha. Step grandchildren Ryan, Jason, and Andrew Buddenhagen, Schuyler Thompson and Jacob Fuller, Bryant, Justin, Austin and Logan Garrison. Great Grandchildren Alex Whipple, Devon and Mayson Buddenhagen. Siblings include a sister, Kathleen (Kay) & William McIntosh and brother, Lynn (Pete) & Kathy Denesha. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Lynn Denesha, mother Beulah (Hayden) Denesha, Sister Marie (Denesha) Forbes and grandson Walter Denesha.
Following the celebration there will be a covered dish luncheon.
