No charges were filed Tuesday by the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department following the collision of a truck from the Pillar Point fire station and a pickup truck at county routes 66 and 62 in the town of Hounsfield.
The driver of the pickup, David A. Bolton, 39, of 17588 Fields Road, Watertown, suffered leg injuries in the 2:55 p.m. crash and was treated at Samaritan Medical Center.
Patrick A. Amell, 29, Dexter, was driving the 1970 firetruck south on Route 66 while en route to a large grass fire in the town of Adams, and slowed down as he approached a stop sign at the intersection, according to a deputys report. He did not come to a complete stop, and as he entered the intersection, his view of potential cross traffic was obstructed by trees, the deputy reported.
Mr. Bolton was westbound when the two trucks met in the intersection.
