CANTON Two Massena men accused of stealing more than $1,000 from the Potsdam Moose Lodge in December were indicted by a St. Lawrence County grand jury on Thursday.
Robert J. Donnelly, 30, of 49 Brighton St. was indicted for two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies.
Kyle A. LaMay, 27, of 771 Hammill Road, was indicted for third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.
The incident was first reported to police Dec. 2 and, after a nearly six-month investigation, police charged Mr. Donnelly and Mr. LaMay on June 22.
Both are accused of entering the Potsdam Moose Lodge with intent to commit a crime, then leaving with $1,108.
Mr. Donnelly is represented by attorney Dennis Goodrich and Mr. LaMay by attorney Amy Dona.
In a second case, Mr. Donnelly was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny by a St. Lawrence County grand jury on July 19. In that case, hes accused of stealing two televisions, a computer, a Cat-5 cable and two bottles of shampoo from Walmart in Potsdam on Dec. 6.
He could be sentenced as a second-felony offender, which carries higher penalties, because he was convicted of second-degree attempted robbery in 2004.
