Watertown police say a man punched a 6-year-old terrier mix so hard Friday night that the 4-pound dog was lifted up off the ground and then rolled about eight feet across a driveway.
Prennis R. Williams II, 27, of 638 Lansing St., Apt. B, was charged on West Main Street shortly before 9 p.m. with overdriving and torturing an animal. He is summoned to appear in City Court.
Three witnesses provided information about the incident, according to a police report.
