GOUVERNEUR – Sylvain M. Yelle, 44, of 9846 Route 56, Massena, was charged by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies at 7:50 p.m. Friday with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct at the St. Lawrence County Fairgrounds.

Mr. Yelle was asked to leave an unsafe area during an exhibition, deputies said. He allegedly refused to leave, and became physically assaultive toward deputies.

He is scheduled to appear in Village Court.
