MACOMB – Daniel L. Storie, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2012 at his family’s camp surrounded by his family.

Calling hours will be at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 5 – 7 p.m. At the close of calling hours, all are invited to share a few words about Dan. Please feel free to come and honor his memory.

Dan is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda M. (Patton) Storie; his children and their spouses, Brandon and Valerie Storie, Sommer and Eric Merkley, and Forrest and Summer Storie; and five grandchildren, Alissa Rivera, Caden, Caitlyn, Remington and Logan Storie. He is also survived by his siblings, Wayne, Edwin, Thomas, Robert, and Jenny Storie.

Dan was predeceased by his father, John Storie and his mother, Ella Storie. He was born on February 10, 1951 in Gouverneur and graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1969 and from Canton ATC with an Associate degree in business management.

Dan was a man of many trades and was Independently employed. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing and was always telling jokes.
