BELFORT Two Croghan area residents were accused Tuesday of causing more than $2,000 worth of damage to a gate at a hunting camp off Texas Road in the town of Croghan.
Lewis County sheriffs deputies charged Kyle R. Demo, 25, of 9672 Steiner Road, and Mackenzie L. Demo, 27, of 10640 Route 812, with third-degree criminal mischief. They were arraigned in Croghan Town Court and released on their own recognizance.
The pair was accused of, on May 20, damaging a gate at the Peeler Swamp Camp hunting club, causing $2,233.66 worth of damage.
The investigation is continuing, deputies said, with further arrests possible.
