At 7 one morning downtown Clayton and the Riverwalk area was filled with bikers, runners and walkers. Families with babies, people over 70, young and old were out utilizing the outdoor beautiful space that has been created and maintained for the use of the community! It looked like a healthy, active scene, one all of Clayton should be proud of.

Hats off to the city fathers who have had the vision and taken their time developing and maintaining the integrity of charming Clayton. Ours is a unique town and village and protecting its uniqueness is one of many qualities that will ensure our sustainability in the future.

What is happening in Clayton proves what my mother always said, “Things take time,” and I am hopeful the city fathers will continue the slow and steady process of protecting Clayton and its image for future generations.
