Angelia Duford was one of two winners of the Ethel LaRose Scholarship for Character and Virtue given by New Life Assembly of God church, Ogdensburg, which has given the awards annually since 2005 to a male and female student at Ogdensburg Free Academy. The scholarships are part of the church’s outreach ministry, which also includes the live Nativity each year at Wal-Mart, fundraisers for the Boys and Girls Club and its role as a regional drop-off center for Operation Christmas Child.
