Lulu M. McCarrell, 23, of 124 N. Rutland St., was charged by Watertown police at 8 p.m. Saturday with third-degree assault.

It is alleged that she punched Christina G. Estes, 173 E. Main St., Apt. 3, in the face on Aug. 1, causing swelling around the victim’s eye. She is due to answer the charge in City Court.
