■ Because of incorrect information given to the Times, an Aug. 5 article about Fort Drum soldiers firing new howitzers incorrectly listed the last time the post had fired such weaponry. The 4th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team fired the M777 howitzer on post in 2008, before going on deployment to Afghanistan. The battalion’s B battery was presented the 2008 Henry A. Knox Best Active Component Battery Award for its use of the weapon during the deployment.
