MASSENA — Patrick A. Foster, 46, of 3 Bishop Ave., was charged by village police at 11:41 p.m. Friday with attempted assault.

Police said that during a domestic dispute at his home, Mr. Foster threw a 42-pound weight bar at his 16-year-old son. There were no injuries.

Mr. Foster is scheduled to appear in Massena Town Court.
