Alexandria Bay - Bert E Tibbles Jr. 80, of Goshen,NY and Formerly of Alexandria Bay, died Thursday, Aug. 16, at Orange Regional Medical in Middletown, NY. He was born Sept. 15, 1931 in Alexandria Bay son of Bert E Tibbles, Sr. and Hattie Davis Tibbles.

Mr. Tibbles was a resident advocate for Elant in Goshen. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jean, his children; three daughters and their husbands, Hollie and Joe Fitzsimmons, Middletown, Cindy and James Durand, Alexandria Bay, Kathleen and Jeffrey Gregory, Wurtsboro; two sons and their wives, Michael and Irene Tibbles, Redwood, Christopher and Diane Tibbles, Watertown; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment of ashes will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 11 am in the Redwood Cemetery located in the Town of Alexandria. Donations may be made to Elant Foundation, 46 Harriman Drive, Goshen NY 120924. Arrangements are with William M. Gagan Funeral Home.
