Joseph J. Foti, 55, 120 Smith Street, passed away at his home Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Joe was born March 30, 1957 in Watertown, a son of Patrick J. and Josephine Malatino Foti. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1975. Joe bartended at the West End and did his apprenticeship at Taylor Concrete for Masonry. He later obtained his status as Journeyman and for a time was in the Masons Union. From 1987-2005 Joe worked for Tercell Construction Service, Syracuse, NY. He currently was employed with Purcell Construction working on a Fort Drum project. Joe was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and a former member of St. Anthonys Church. He loved to cook, enjoyed gardening, golfing, hunting and bowling. Joe enjoyed spending time with his friends over the years; especially with his good friends at Colemans. Joe was an avid NY Yankee Fan.
Surviving besides his mother are two sisters; Patricia J. Schreck and Tina Foti, Tinas husband Mark Olig, all of Watertown, a uncle; Joseph Malatino, two aunts; Mary Alteri and Jennie Adsit and several cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father Patrick who passed away October 13, 2001, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30pm at the funeral home with Reverend Donald Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
