Mi Cha “Chris” Buker, 66, NYS Rt. 12E, Clayton, passed away Sunday evening, August 19, 2012, at Samaritan Medical Center due to complications of liver and kidney disease.

Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton on Wednesday, August 22, from 2 - 4PM and 6 - 8PM. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 23, at 1PM at the Clayton United Methodist Church with Pastor Donald Briant officiating and burial following in Clayton Cemetery.

Mrs. Buker was born in Yongin-Kun, Korea on September 25, 1945, daughter of Kim Su Man and Yu Mu Sun.

On September 30, 1969 she married Reginald F. Buker at the American Embassy in Seoul, Korea. She moved to the US with her husband in 1970 and became a US citizen in 1977.

Chris was a homemaker. She was a member of both the Clayton United Methodist Church and the LaFargeville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed Bingo, cooking, and gardening.

Besides her husband, Reginald, she is survived by her son and his wife, David M. and Lisa Buker, Watertown; her daughter, Marie E. Buker, Madison, AL; five grandchildren, Ian Buker, Anjaleigh Symonds, and Roxanne, Kristal, and Patrick Tedesco; two great grandchildren, Madelyn Kaler and Kaidan Sprague; two brothers and one sister who live in Korea; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her grandson, Brendan Buker, died before her.
