Michael Prentice got a second chance and made the most of it Saturday night at Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville. Prentice lost the lead early on the final lap to Chris Thurston, but moments later overtook Thurston for the win in the SUNY Canton, Dig Safely N.Y. Clarence Henry Coach sportsman feature.
Brandon Kidd and Dale Caswell were also in a close race on the final lap of the late model feature with Kidd crossing the finish line ahead of Caswell.
Lee Gill of LaFargeville was the winner of the 358-modified feature Saturday night at the Brockville (Ontario) Speedway. Dylon Evoy won the sportsman feature, and Justin Barger was the winner of the Patriot Sprints feature.
Billy Dunn of Watertown finished sixth and Rob Bellinger of Dexter was ninth in the big-block modified feature Saturday night at Canandaigua Speedway. In the Northeaster Midget Association races Saturday night at Oswego Speedway, Jim Miller won the midget race, and Ian Cummens captured the mod lites competition. Taylor Doxtater finished third in the U.S. legends race.
