■ The temperature in Watertown tied the record high of 90 degrees in the 24-hour period that ended at 8 a.m. Sunday, according to the city water filtration plant. The record was set in 1948.

■ CANTON The St. Lawrence County Courthouse was evacuated shortly after 10 a.m. Monday after a bag of burned popcorn triggered a smoke alarm.Those inside waited for about 10 minutes on the Court Street sidewalk before being allowed to return to the building.
