SYRACUSE — Long Beach State, an NCAA Tournament team last year, will visit the Carrier Dome to take on the Syracuse men’s basketball team on Dec. 6.

Coach Dan Monson has won back-to-back Big West Conference Coach of the Year honors with the 49ers. He guided last year’s club to a 24-9 overall mark, the Big West Conference title with a 13-1 league mark, and the Big West Conference Tournament championship. Long Beach State earned an NCAA Tournament berth and lost to New Mexico.

Syracuse has a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series. Each of the previous games were contested in the Carrier Dome, with Syracuse winning 94-79 in 1990-91 and 79-55 in 2008-09.
