■ HARRISVILLE — Village employees will place rabies vaccine baits this week in conjunction with an annual program that drops baits from aircraft in outlying areas. Residents are reminded not to handle the baits, though they are not harmful to humans, and keep pets away from them.

■ GREIG — A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at the Iroquois Pipeline Operating Company meter station off Burdicks Crossing Road for the multi-use recreational trail being developed by Lewis County on a former railroad corridor to Lyons Falls that was donated by Iroquois.
