Halloween City, 1068 Arsenal St., plans to hire up to 50 temporary employees this fall to serve hordes of trick-or-treaters.
Set to open the second week of September, the store is accepting applications for part-time positions.
About 20 employees will be hired before the store opens, and more jobs will continue to be available as Halloween approaches. Employees work 15 to 20 hours per week and are paid an hourly wage of $7.55.
In September, were going to need more help when we open, District Manager Charles S. Sinclair said. Well continue to hire people up until the very last week of the season, which ends Nov. 1. If they do a good job, well call them back to work the next year.
Opening for its second year on Arsenal Street, the 10,000-square-foot store will feature a vast range of costumes for children and adults, Mr. Sinclair said.
Superhero and Batman costumes are popular this year, and we have very good pirate and horror costumes, he said. We mostly cater to kids who want to go out there and get treats on Halloween.
