Marcus E. Hood, 26, of 28985 Simonet Cutoff Road, Evans Mills, who in June was sentenced to three years probation for his repeated annoyances against a Watertown woman, was arrested late Wednesday after city police alleged he did it again.
Mr. Hood is charged with felony criminal contempt. Watertown City Judge Eugene R. Renzi set bail Thursday morning at $250, sending him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
Police said he was arrested after he entered an enclosed porch at the residence of Summer E.J. Bettis, 25, of 340 N. Rutland St., at 10:35 p.m. and knocked at the door. In doing so, police said, he violated stay-away terms of a Family Court order of protection. The charge is a felony because he was convicted in June on two misdemeanor counts of criminal contempt, satisfying a total of 12 charges that accumulated from three arrests in February and April, all involving Ms. Bettis.
