A Watertown teenager was arrested Thursday by city police on allegations that he discharged a BB gun at the windshield of a vehicle Sunday night, endangering a man who was seated in the auto.
The arrest of Tajemar M. Brandon, 17, of 823 Academy St., was the second in as many months on vehicle-vandalism allegations.
He was detained overnight and was due for arraignment Friday in City Court on charges of third-degree criminal mischief and first-degree reckless endangerment, both felonies.
Police said William R. Reid, 31, of 644 Huntington St., was seated in a 2000 Ford Expedition owned by Keshia T. Scott, same address, when shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, pellets were fired at the vehicle near the Reid-Scott residence. Mr. Reid likely would have been injured had the pellets penetrated the glass, police said.
Mr. Brandon was charged by city police in July with two counts of criminal mischief for allegedly vandalizing two vehicles. Two tires were slashed on one of the cars.
