MASSENA - Village police responded to a two-vehicle accident at approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday on state Route 37 that sent one to the hospital.

Police said a BMW traveling westward driven by Thomas Capewell, 63 of Nepean Ont. was rear ended by a Pontiac driven by Andrew Perry, 18 of Massena while stopped at a red light near Dollar General and Pizza Hut. A passenger in one of the vehicles was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital with a complaint of pain to her face. Police planned to ticket Perry for following too closely and reckless driving.
