■ ADAMS — Allison K. Porter will run the 2012 Nike Women’s Marathon on Oct. 14 in San Francisco to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. To help her raise money, there will be a benefit featuring Todd Whitley and Mike Tyo at 6 p.m. Sept. 5 at Cafe Mira, 14 Main St.
