DEPEYSTER A Heuvelton man accused of stealing from an Amish store was arrested early Thursday by St. Lawrence County sheriffs deputies.
Dalton M. LaFlair, 17, of 5255 County Route 10, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and endangering the welfare of a child.
Early Thursday, deputies responded to a complaint of people stealing from an Amish store. They stopped a truck driven by Mr. LaFlair leaving the scene on West Lake Road and located several stolen items, both from the Amish store and other locations around Lisbon, Heuvelton and DePeyster, troopers said. The items were unspecified by police.
Mr. LaFlair was taken into custody along with two juveniles, whose names were not released because of their age.
He was issued appearance tickets for Oswegatchie Town Court.
Deputies were unable to locate all the stolen items. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the sheriffs office.
