GOUVERNEUR A Gouverneur man accused of two burglaries was arrested and jailed by village police at 9:13 p.m. Wednesday.
Thomas H. Folsom, 27, of 599 Van Buren Road, was charged with felony second- and third-degree burglary and misdemeanor possession of burglars tools.
Mr. Folsom allegedly tried to forcibly enter Newvines Auto Parts, 203 W. Main St.., but was interrupted by the owner. He then is accused of burglarizing a residence at 255 W. Main St., but was later located and arrested.
He was found in possession of a screwdriver and a flashlight he allegedly used in the burglaries, village police said. He was arraigned in Fowler Town Court and held without bail in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton.
